{mosimage} As the NOMADS move into the new year, we would like to take time and look back at the past year. The NOMADS began with just 7 members who over the course of a few months brought the NOMADS to life. The NOMADS would be based on a tactical CQB style team, but would also actively train in both CQB and MIL-SIM. The NOMADS patch was designed and with input from all team members, the final patch was created.The NOMADS then found the BDU's they would use and the gear that would go with it. Over the next few months the NOMADS were actively training for the 4th Annual CQB Chanllenge in Northern Califorina and along the way grew to 15 strong members.The NOMADS aquired Eye Safety Systems (ESS) as a sponsor, who would also be included as a sponsor at the CQB Challenge. The NOMADS then set out on their first competition as a team, at Fort Ord California for the CQB Challenge where they placed 9th overall with the highest score and fastest time for the Law Enforcement Simulation. Near the end of the year the NOMADS said good-bye to one of its founding members when he was deployed overseas. The NOMADS look forward to the coming year with a resolve to stay strong, train hard and to keep pushing themselves to the next level. |
